MeRide collects only the data needed to operate verified motorbike ride-hailing in Sierra Leone.
We may collect account details, contact details, trip details, pickup and dropoff information, foreground location, in-app notification state, and mobile-money payment request details. Rider accounts may also include KYC details such as license information, vehicle information, emergency contact details, review status, and private verification documents.
We use this data to create accounts, request rides, match citizens with verified riders, support rider navigation during active trips, send in-app alerts, process mobile-money payment requests through the Laravel backend, review safety incidents, and manage owner or manager operations.
Citizens use location to set pickup points and improve ride accuracy. Riders use current location to go online, receive nearby ride requests, and accept trips. Riders must have a fresh accurate location before availability and ride acceptance.
The mobile app sends mobile-money payment requests to Laravel. Payment provider connections such as Tenkipay, Wangov, or GovPay are handled by Laravel. Provider API keys must never be stored in the mobile app.
Users can request account deletion from the mobile app or account profile. Some records may be retained where required for safety, dispute handling, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, or operational audit.
Publish the production support email, phone number, and business address before public launch.
